EvSkor Privacy Policy

1. Data Controller
Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”), your personal data is processed by EvSkor (the “Company”) as the data controller. This policy applies to personal data processed in connection with the EvSkor mobile application and website (the “Platform”).
2. Categories of Personal Data
Depending on how you use the Platform, the following categories may be processed:
- Identity and contact: name, surname, email, phone (if provided), account identifiers
- Location and usage: data related to map selections or address searches, technical logs of app and site usage
- Content: review text and ratings; masked names (
N*** S***format) shown to other users - Verification: temporary processing of uploaded documents; after review documents are deleted, while verification status and a document summary (hash) may be retained
- Security and legal compliance: IP address, timestamps, session and activity logs (e.g. reviews, logins, document uploads)
3. Purposes and Legal Bases
Personal data is processed in particular to: create and manage accounts; publish and display tenant experiences; ensure security, prevent abuse, and moderate content, including AI-assisted review; comply with legal obligations (e.g. Law No. 5651); establish, exercise, or defend legal rights; and provide support and communication.
Legal bases are those set out in Articles 5 and 6 of KVKK, such as performance of a contract, legitimate interests of the data controller, explicit consent where applicable, or processing expressly permitted by law.
4. Transfers
Data may be transferred to competent public authorities where required by law, and to service providers who support infrastructure and security, subject to confidentiality and data protection obligations and only to the extent necessary. Primary hosting is within Turkey, consistent with our Terms of Service.
5. International Transfers
We prioritise storage in Turkey. If international transfers become necessary, they will be carried out in line with KVKK (e.g. adequacy decisions, contractual clauses, or explicit consent as applicable), and this policy will be updated.
6. Retention
Data is retained for as long as needed for the purposes described and for statutory limitation or retention periods. Thereafter it is deleted, destroyed, or anonymised. Removed or hidden content may be retained for defined periods where the law requires.
7. Your Rights Under KVKK
Under Article 11 of KVKK you may request information on whether your data is processed; if so, further details; the purposes and whether use is consistent with those purposes; third parties to whom data is transferred in Turkey or abroad; correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; erasure or destruction where conditions apply; notification of correction/erasure to third parties who received the data; objection to results against you arising solely from automated processing; and compensation for unlawful processing where you suffer damage.

8. Law No. 5651 and Traffic Data
In line with Law No. 5651, traffic data (e.g. IP address, timestamps) relating to access and actions on the Platform may be logged and retained for legally required periods and disclosed to competent authorities upon lawful request.
9. Cookies and Similar Technologies (Website)
Our website may use cookies for session, preference, or analytics purposes. You can manage cookies in your browser; refusing some cookies may limit certain features.
10. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure.
11. Changes to This Policy
EvSkor may update this policy. The updated text takes effect when published on the Platform. For material changes we may use additional channels (e.g. in-app notice or email).
